Coastal Bible Church began in March 2013 with a meeting in the home of David and Sandy Felkel, and had its first service at the Felkel home, with Marty Minto as pastor. The following Sunday, we started meeting at Inlet Square Mall until August of 2013, when CBC moved to a location at Lorraine Plaza in Surfside Beach. In the spring of 2016, Pastor Minto announced his resignation, effective June 1, 2016. CBC held its last service at Lorraine Plaza on May 22, 2016, after which we packed up and moved out. Kevin Carney and David Felkel then quickly found a place where CBC could continue meeting. On May 29, 2016, CBC began holding services at Hope Arbor (Now— Inlet Oaks) Assisted Living in Murrells Inlet SC. In January 2017, Pastor Joe Chestnut became our interim pastor. We continue to meet at Hope Arbor, and in August 2017, we also began meeting at The Palmettos Assisted Living in Garden City, SC. We praise the Lord for His blessing and guidance thus far in our journey as a church, and we look forward to His continued blessing and guidance in the future, as we continue to seek His will and plan for us.
